ik ik heb het niet standaard in huis nee

maar het is dus wel altijd lekker met iets erop
voor als ontbijt
en meestal doe ik hier hagelslag op een beetje boter

en dat eten we eigenlijk dan weer alleen
als er een baby geboren is

en dan hebben we
doen we ze erop en dan zien ze er zo uit
en dat is om te vieren
wanneer er een baby is geboren
dan trakteert de
de de moeder of Vader
op werk of met vrienden
collega's de beschuit met muisjes
dus dat is iets wat typisch Nederlands is en
ik ben benieuwd of mensen die dit luisteren
dit al eens hebben geproefd
weet jij de smaak van de muisjes
het is met anijs toch zit er in
ja ja het zijn hele kleine korreltjes anijs en dat
daar komt een soort staartje uit
en daarom heette het muisjes
hmm
en die smaak doet je dus altijd denken aan baby's
eigenlijk
soort van niet aan baby's te
om te eten maar maar om een nieuwe
het vieren van een nieuwe baby
dat is iets typisch Nederlands
naar mijn idee
gerelateerd aan het beschuitje zelf
ja ja precies ja
eet je nu de hele tijd beschuit met muisjes
heb je heel veel muisjes over
ja ja om eerlijk te zijn
ben ik er wel een beetje verslaafd aan geraakt
omdat ik elke dag dan beschuit met muisjes maakte
maar mijn hele huis ligt ook vol met muisjes
omdat ze eigenlijk heel onhandig zijn om te eten
ze vallen overal
alle kanten op

in in India eten ze dit ook
maar dan na een maaltijd
dus vaak heb je een soort schaaltje met anijs
met met een suikerlaagje eromheen bijvoorbeeld
en ook wat andere dingen
voor ja de stofwisseling zeg maar na na het eten
de spijsvertering

dus maar ja niet
niet per se volgens mij voor als er een
een baby is geboren
maar nee ja en wat is jouw ontbijt meestal
meestal eet ik yoghurt voor mijn ontbijt
dus ja yoghurt met noten en ja
soms een beetje banaan of zo er in
ja geen boterhammen
niet echt nee nee
ik eet op zich wel veel brood
ik ben ook een een echte Nederlander natuurlijk ja
maar ja ik denk het is niet heel vullend altijd
dus alleen een een
een boterham met wat kaas is niet heel
ja geef me niet echt veel energie voor de dag zeg maar
dus ik zie ja brood een broodje
meer als een soort tussendoortje
ja meestal ja dus om
3 uur of zo dat ik een boterham neem met kaas of met
ja iets anders erop
ja maar brood is echt
pindakaas typisch Nederlands natuurlijk met
gesmeerde boterhammen meenemen naar werk of gewoon
naar school natuurlijk ja
deed je dat vroeger altijd
hoeveel boterhammen kan jij eten zo voordat je vol zit
ja
nu wat minder maar ik denk
toen ik 16 was was waarschijnlijk mijn
mijn piek aan hoeveel boterhammen ik kon kon eten
het was dan ook vooral veel veel tosti's
dat was altijd lekker ook
ik denk ook een een hele typische lunch is een tosti
ja met met ketchup
of voor sommige met curry ketchup
maar dat is ja
ik hou meer van normale ketchup
ja is curry ook nou een Nederlandse saus of ja
niet de curry die we Kennen uit India dan maar
de Nederlandse curry dus
de kruidige
ketchup kan je dat zo noemen
precies gewoon ketchup met een met een beetje kruiden er in
ik weet niet ik weet eigenlijk niet eens welke
kruiden daarin gaan
geen idee nee maar
en dan bedacht iemand dat het curry moest heten
ja precies ja ja en
we hebben natuurlijk ook andere sauzen die best wel
misschien Nederlands zijn
of veel gebruikt worden in Nederland

ja ja ik denk mayonaise wordt
veel gebruikt
in Nederland en Nederlanders houden
dus sowieso van de saus

ja ik word altijd bekritiseerd dat ik overal
extra veel saus doe

proeft wat je nou eigenlijk aan het eten bent
dus meer meer saus dan eten zeg maar
ook voor een tosti
want ik denk echt een goede tosti
met lekkere kaas en goed brood kan heel lekker zijn
maar ja ik moet ik moet er ketchup bij doen
ik weet niet
ah ja dus ketchup is jouw favoriete saus
het ligt eraan dus voor patat zal ik
zal ik nooit
ketchup nemen dat is voor mij not done
dat vind ik niet lekker
maar ja voor een tosti wel
ja bij mij is het ook altijd patat met Mayo het beste
en een ander
typisch Nederlands ding is eigenlijk het debat
is het friet of patat
dus dat is ook een variatie natuurlijk
heb denk jij zeg jij ook wel eens het woord friet
of gebruik je alleen maar het woord patat daarvoor

ik kom diep uit patatland en en jij
ja ik zeg ook gewoon standaard patat
maar er zit een Klein verschil voor mij in
want ja de patat van de McDonald's bijvoorbeeld
vind ik dan wel echt een frietje misschien
omdat die dunner zijn ik heb het idee dat dunne patat

wat was ook alweer jouw favoriete stamppot
dat is met zuurkool

zuurkool en dan ook met mosterd erbij en
een rookworst dus een beetje
ja een beetje een sterke smaak is
het maar ik hou wel van
wat meer sterkere extreemere smaken

ja want in Nederland eten we dit ja stamppot
natuurlijk vaak warm
we hadden het net over
broodje kaas of boterham met kaas als lunch
maar we eten geen warme gerechten
in de middag toch het is meestal in de avond
ja en en dat noemen we dan de AVG
of een stamppot
en wat is de a v g ook alweer
het is de
de 3 belangrijkste onderdelen in de Nederlandse keuken
a voor aardappel
v voor vlees en g voor groenten
en ja je mag zelf kiezen
hoe je het invult
nou een aardappel is een aardappel
maar trouwens
je hebt een zoete aardappel ook je hebt peertjes
ja je hebt heel verschillende vormen natuurlijk
ja en maar voor het qua vlees en groenten ja het
het gaat meer om hoe het eruit ziet op het bord
dus 1/3 vlees 1/3 groenten 1/3 aardappel
precies en niet gemixt het is gewoon in deze geval
in dit geval
kan je hem ook zonder dat je hem als stamppot eet
natuurlijk gewoon aardappelen
en dan vaak niet met heel veel extra pit
of smaak en stukje vlees
misschien wel gebakken in veel boter denk ik
en groenten ja gekookt of ja misschien
gebokt nee ik denk echt gekookt
als je een ouderwets wil houden
ja maar ja het kan wel heel lekker zijn
maar toch hou ik meer van een
stamppot waarin het wat meer
ja gemixt is of gecombineerd
met smaken
ja en en welke stamppot specifiek
hmm
ja ik vind altijd de spinazie stamppot lekker met
ei erbij en
ook andijvie stamppot
stamppot andijvie wat meer in de zomermaanden
het is een beetje afhankelijk van de van het weer
of je echt een dikke grote stamppot nodig hebt
of een wat lichtere luchtigere
ja voor mij een stamppot is altijd wel stevig ja
maar je hebt inderdaad
de rauwe andijvie stamppot bijvoorbeeld ja die wat
lichter aanvoelt
dan een een zuurkool stamppot bijvoorbeeld
precies ja
maar ja typisch Nederlandse
nou ja het gaat een beetje voorbij de
het eten natuurlijk
want ja zeker Nederland staat ook niet echt bekend om
het eten er zijn
specifieke dingen
nou we kunnen ze nog even opnoemen
ik denk iedereen Kent ze wel onderhand
stroopwafels
de haring drop ook ik weet niet
hou jij van drop en zout drop ook
ik hou van meerdere soorten drop
van zoet tot zout tot ja met suiker
is natuurlijk heel zoet eigenlijk maar meer de
de zoethoud drop vind ik wel lekker
ja ja ja
meestal als ik naar een ander land ga
neem ik een zak met zoute drop mee
een beetje voor mezelf
maar ook vooral om te te experimenteren op andere
ja had je het nou laatst in Mexico ook gedaan
ja wat vonden ze ervan
ik heb een iemand gevonden die het lekker vond
maar
ja waar kwam hij vandaan
uit Duitsland of uit Frankrijk dus iets dichterbij
Nederland
dus misschien hebben ze daar ook ergens zout erop
alleen ja de meeste mensen uit de Mexico zelf
en daarvoor ook
een keer toen ik in
Brazilië was heb ik het ook meegenomen
en niemand vindt het lekker en ja
zelfs sommige die spugen het gelijk uit
die vinden het zo vies
maar ja voor mij het is superlekker
ik hou zo erg van zoute drop
ja maar ze waren wel eerlijk in het
toegeven dat ze het vies vonden dus
maar ja je ziet je ziet
daar direct een directe reactie
ja je ziet je ziet het in het gezicht precies
het lokt misschien de directheid uit
van de Nederlandse cultuur
gadverdamme ja
dat is natuurlijk ook een
onderdeel of een element wat als typisch
Nederlands wordt gezien
directheid ja
denk je dat je mensen kan vinden die zullen zeggen
dat als ze iets niet lekker vinden
of ze dat ze het niet lekker vinden dat
de kans is groot denk ik toch
ja zeker weten
dus dat is een ander groot onderdeel aan de
Nederlandse identiteit of de ja typisch Nederlandse
cultuur i guess
de directheid van van mensen
ja mensen zeggen dat altijd
maar vind jij dat ook echt zo
dat Nederlanders direct zijn
of verschilt het ook per persoon
ja ik denk
dat het heel erg per persoon
verschilt maar misschien in
vergelijking met andere culturen
kan je voorbeelden vinden
maar misschien Nederlanders
onderling heb je natuurlijk ook variatie
in hoe direct iemand kan zijn
maar je zult het eerder tegenkomen
wanneer mensen communiceren
via de e mail bijvoorbeeld
dat een e mail veel korter kan zijn
zonder een heel verhaal eromheen met hoe gaat het
zeg maar met dingen die niet
relevant zijn voor de e mail
terwijl
die informatie juist ja een band kan scheppen of
extra informatie
meer vertrouwen geeft
is het voor Nederlanders
vaak makkelijker om gewoon direct te zijn
terwijl ze dan ook misschien wel een band met je willen
maar het niet op die manier doen
dus ze zullen niet misschien snel vragen hoe het gaat
als als ze dat niet op dat moment willen weten
of daar niet mee bezig zijn
ja precies ja het is ook een beetje inderdaad de de
in de taal verborgen
of ja want voor mij de de de meest
of niet de meest misschien
maar een van de meeste indirecte culturen
is eh Brits Engels
dus Engels mensen ik denk staan
zijn heel dichtbij Nederland geografisch
maar vaak op de manier van communiceren is het
staan ze heel ver van elkaar vandaan
als in
om hetzelfde te zeggen
heb je 3 woorden in het Nederlands en ja
weet je een een hele paragraaf in
het in het Engels
dus ja precies
en allemaal extra modale werkwoorden en
andere taalkundige elementen
inderdaad ja
zou je alsjeblieft
ja precies terwijl bijvoorbeeld
Spaans is ook heel direct denk ik
zeker als je om dingen vraagt
in zeg maar café of restaurant situaties of zo
ja ja
ik denk dat het ook heel erg in Nederland kan
verschillen
dus tussen de Randstad en buiten de Randstad
dat mensen veel vlotter zijn en dus directer
dus je kunt het woord direct natuurlijk ook
bekijken vanuit verschillende betekenissen in de zin
direct snel of direct
wat harder of wat minder gevoelig
dus het is eigenlijk
op die manier
ja de communicatie stijl
maar ik ben heel benieuwd hoe mensen dit ervaren
als je uit een andere cultuur komt
of je dat ook direct vindt en wat dat
ja wat dat met je doet als je Nederlands leert
want inderdaad in de taal zelf
zitten ook heel veel ja eigenschappen die de
communicatie directer maken
bijvoorbeeld als je tegen iemand
iemand aanspreekt met u
kunt u mij even helpen of mag ik u iets vragen
dan krijg je heel snel een antwoord
je hoeft mij niet met u aan te spreken hoor zeg maar je
zeg maar je
dus zij zijn ten eerste direct naar jou van
zeg maar je dus ze geven jou een directie
geen u zeggen
maar ja misschien wil ik wel u tegen u zeggen
het is een soort ja
manier van dan ben
dan voel ik me oud of zo dus ja het is eigenlijk
bijzonder dat mensen altijd zeggen zeg maar je
als je nu zegt
ja inderdaad het komt bijna nooit
andersom voor
dat
dat mensen vragen of je juist de beleefde vorm
kan gebruiken
ik hoor het niet zo vaak ja
je moet me voortaan met u aanspreken Jelle
ja ja precies
ik ben toch iets ouder nee
ja het is wel anders in het Nederlandse taal zeker ja
nou precies ja tutoyeren
is het meer wat we gebruiken hier
ja ja ook bijvoorbeeld
oh sorry nou als je bijvoorbeeld in een café
om een biertje vraagt
dan in het Nederlands zou je kunnen zeggen
doe mij maar
doe mij maar een biertje misschien ja alsjeblieft
erachter plakken is wel zo netjes
maar het is ook de de toon hoe je het zegt
ja zeker ik denk het is vaak direct in de in hoe je in
in in de woorden die je gebruikt maar de toon
creëert ook een soort gevoel erbij dat het luchtig is
en ja vriendelijk precies ja
ja dat is het mooie aan taal
want het is niet alleen de woordenschat
of de uitspraak of de grammatica
maar ook de pragmatiek en dat is hoe we dat noemen
de manier waarop je iets zegt en
dat kan je al
een woord kan al heel anders klinken op die manier ja
zeker ja
precies nou doe mij maar
lekker een biertje
ja of een biertje graag dat je
ja het woordje graag is natuurlijk ook zo maar op
ja je kan het op een heel andere manier zeggen een bier
een biertje ja
precies maar hetzelfde geldt voor dat
ja dat je
wanneer je iemand ziet dat je dan vraagt hoe gaat het
uh
heel vaak heb ik dat juist in andere talen meegemaakt
dat als ik een taal aan het leren ben
dat iemand mij vraagt
hoe gaat het bij een ontmoeting
of bij de de ontmoeting
en dan ga ik helemaal vertellen hoe het met me gaat
en met iedereen
maar die vraag betekent niet hetzelfde als
hoe gaat het eigenlijk
ze vragen het alleen maar uit beleefdheid
om gewoon hallo te zeggen in plaats van hallo
alleen zeggen ze hallo hoe gaat het
ja
dus dat probeer ik nu ook in het Nederlands
wel te doen ja precies dus ook alles goed bijvoorbeeld
hé alles goed

nou dit gaat wel goed dat gaat niet goed

misschien is dat ook een beetje Nederlands

ze zijn wel nuchtere nuchtere mensen in principe
maar op die manier kunnen ze juist met humor
misschien wat gevoeligeren
gesprekken vermijden of niet vermijden maar ja
omdraaien of zo denk ik
ja precies het het minder persoonlijk
en emotioneel te laten
voelen of zo ja ja of wanneer het
wanneer het wat emotioneel wordt
dan zetten ze zo'n grapje in
dus ze laten het gesprek wel toe
maar niet de emotie of de
ja ik weet niet ja dat heb ik meegemaakt dat ik
dat er ineens een gesprek dat ja
wegvalt of uitvalt omdat het niet dan te
te emotioneel wordt of zo
ja ja precies ja
op het werk vooral ja hmm
een een laatste belangrijk onderdeel ook van
de Nederland of nou ja
typisch Nederlands is natuurlijk de fiets
dan kunnen we
kunnen we ook niet omheen in Nederland
ik weet niet
bij jou in de buurt
is het heel druk met
met fietsen
als je nu op straat zou lopen zie je gelijk
tientallen fietsers
valt het mee ja om het hoekje
het is niet voor mijn deur
maar als ik mijn hoek omga dan
is het een een
een spits aan fietsers
eigenlijk altijd
dus het is het drukker met fietsen dus dan met
met auto's soms
we wonen achter de rasmus universiteit in Rotterdam
dus heel veel studenten die
onderweg zijn naar hun werk of naar
school en dat is
wel echt heel druk inderdaad
moet je goed opletten als je overstekt
ja precies ja
ja en bij jou hetzelfde denk ik
ja het is het het is een
het wordt steeds erger denk ik
Uhm
zeker ja een beetje in de binnenstad in Amsterdam
omdat je natuurlijk ook de combinatie hebt van
touristen of mensen die ja nog niet zo lang
in Nederland Amsterdam
wonen en
de mensen die te comfortabel zijn op de fiets
en denken dat
iedereen voor ze aan de kant moet
met een paar elektrische fietsen ook erbij
iedereen gaat fietst sneller
en dan met de tram met de auto's
dus het is een beetje een chaos soms ja maar
ja alleen ik denk je moet echt mee in deze chaos
want anders
ja wordt het bijna gevaarlijker
dus je moet ja ja echt mee in het tempo
want ja anders dan
kan je niet oversteken
je moet bij elke
kruispunt of elke straat moet je wachten en
dus ja ja ja ik vind fiets
vooral leuk als ik niet in Nederland ben de fiets
dan mis ik mijn fiets ineens die ik nog niet heb
niet meer heb
dan denk ik oh ik ga lekker fietsen ik huur een fiets
maar dan is het niet zo makkelijk als in Nederland
want de wegen zijn niet zo plat als hier
dus het is een soort paradox dat
ik juist wil fietsen in een ander land
maar dan niet zo makkelijk is als in Nederland
ja maar ja
ja jij houdt wel van moeilijkere wegen
fietsen toch ja ja van alles maar ook
ook zeker als je op een in een nieuw land bent
of een nieuwe stad
en je ziet ineens fietspaden
overal en je kan een fiets huren
dan ja dan word ik daar heel enthousiast van
maar ja je voelt toch dat
dat Nederland het fietsland is in de wereld
ja alleen ik zat laatst te kijken naar de
de meest fiets vriendelijke steden
en tot mijn verbazing stond Parijs daar op nummer een
oh serieus omdat ze daar
heel erg hebben geïnvesteerd in de fietsen
ja wegen en
infrastructuur
infrastructuur precies
dus
ja het deed eigenlijk een beetje pijn om dat te lezen
ja en wat stonden we wel in de top
5 of 10 of niet
ja Nederlandse steden
ik denk omdat
nou misschien Nederland als land
weet je
je hebt overal fietspaden dus dat en het is plat
oké ja dus het is makkelijk om te fietsen maar
Amsterdam is niet makkelijk
nee ja precies nee
dus ik denk meer omdat het heel
intimiderend is ook in de stad
en als je kijkt
naar een
willekeurige straat in het centrum of kruispunt
dan denk je niet van oh dit is zo veilig zo
ja precies nee
inderdaad het voelt niet zo
nee nee nee
ja we hebben nog een hele podcast over fietsen
dus ben je nog meer geïnteresseerd in dit onderwerp
luister vooral naar die podcast
en hetzelfde geldt voor eten trouwens
ik heb nog 1/3 object als laatst en dat is
mijn voorwerp
een hele grote agenda
want waar Nederlanders ook bekend om staan
is natuurlijk om het plannen of om
als je iemand
wil zien graag
dan moet je een afspraak maken
voor over een maand of 2 maanden misschien
de spontaniteit is wat moeilijker soms
ja te vinden in het leven van Nederlanders
ervaar jij dat ook met met jouw vrienden
Nederlandse vrienden
of zijn die wel wat spontaner mogelijk beschikbaar
ja nou steeds steeds meer wel dus
ja nou dat
het ligt een beetje aan de persoon ook
dus sommige zijn gewoon flexibel als je ze
een berichtje stuurt van wil je vanavond of
of deze week vanavond is misschien niet
meestal niet mogelijk
maar deze week is is
is vaak nog wel te doen als we in dezelfde stad wonen
maar als we in een andere stad wonen
wordt het al wat lastiger
meestal ja
dus dat dan is het eerder binnen
binnen de maand of binnen 2 weken 3 weken zoiets
maar ja
ik merk wel naar mate ik ouder word dat het moeilijker
wordt om
snel iets te plannen met mensen
ja dus ja ja aan de ene
kant zie je veel mensen
omdat je dus goed plant
en elke dag wel iets te doen hebt
maar tegelijkertijd voelt het niet zo
omdat je dus nooit makkelijker
niet zo makkelijk spontaan kan afspreken misschien
maar ik zie ook wel verschil
naarmate de mensen weer
ja naarmate we wat ouder worden of naarmate we zien
dat het makkelijk is om even langs te komen
is dat ook wat te doen
en die flexibiliteit is natuurlijk heel fijn
en ook in de community met onze lessen
daar zijn we hebben we natuurlijk veel opties
om les te volgen
in dus als je agenda best wel vol is
heb je denk ik altijd wel een plekje om een les te volgen
in ons rooster toch
precies ja lekker spontaan
we proberen die spontaniteit te houden
dat je
denkt ah vanavond wil ik een les meedoen of toch niet
dan doe ik het morgen
of ik doe het dinsdag of een andere dag
het maakt allemaal niet zoveel uit
als je maar komt
dat is wel belangrijk
precies ja ja ik denk het
het doel daarmee is
eigenlijk dat je bijna elke moment
van de week kan bedenken oké ik wil
ik wil nu even oefenen
en dan is er de beschikbaarheid
ja dus nou dat is al mijn doel
of misschien als je juist vanavond een les wilde bijwonen
maar je buurman
je Nederlandse buurman vraagt je
ineens op koffie met een beschuitje
dan kan je op langs gaan
en dan ga je morgen de les meedoen
precies hopelijk word je niet
getraumatiseerd door droog beschuit
en nee
maar we hebben wel een gezegde trouwens
als je iemand leuk vindt in Nederland
kan je zeggen dat je daarmee een beschuitje
zou willen eten nou ja
dat betekent natuurlijk dat je daarmee
zou willen ontbijten
en ja wanneer ontbijt je nou met iemand
dus pas op als je buurman dit zegt ja precies
nou ik ik
ik ben benieuwd ook wat
mensen typisch Nederlands vinden
wij hebben natuurlijk onze eigen ideeën
over onze eigen cultuur en land
maar het is altijd
interessant om te horen wat andere mensen
nou echt typisch Nederlands vinden
dus dat kunnen ze delen in de comments
of natuurlijk
komen mee praten tijdens de vele lessen in de week
nou tot dan ja tot dan voor nu
