het gaat goed ik heb een beetje
stijve schouders
omdat ik gisteren
een paar uur op de motor heb gereden
en de dag daarvoor ook een paar uur
dus mijn schouders zijn een beetje ja een beetje stijf
moet je een paar oefeningen doen voor je schouders
maar wat ging je doen waar ging je naartoe
ik ben
met de motor van Amsterdam naar Brussel gereden
even op
zaterdagochtend en toen weer terug op zondag
aan het einde van de dag een beetje
maar ja op de terugweg waren er veel files
er waren veel
weg omleidingen
dus het was een beetje chaotisch op de weg
en ja dus het duurde een beetje lang
en na 2 uur
na 3 uur begin je vaak
of krijg ik vaak een beetje last van mijn schouders
op de motor ja
dat kan ik me voorstellen
want hoe doe je dat ook met pauzes
of rij je dan in een keer daar naartoe?
nee in een keer dat dat kan niet
dat nou dat alles kan maar dat is een beetje teveel
ik denk met de auto doen sommige mensen dat wel
als ze bijvoorbeeld op wintersport gaan of zo
dat ze ja aan een stuk door wat langer rijden
maar met de motor heb je echt
pauzes nodig het liefst na elk uur of na elk
anderhalf uur
ja langer dan anderhalf uur is te lang meestal
ja ja precies
en is het dan
moeilijk om ook de goede route te weten
of weet je altijd de weg
hoe doe je dat
ja toen ik mijn motor net had gekocht
toen moest ik van tevoren de route bekijken
en nou daarna goed naar de borden kijken en de juiste
afslag nemen etcetera
maar ja dat is misschien een beetje old school
want tegenwoordig heeft iedereen natuurlijk
zijn routeplanner op zijn telefoon
of op het dashboard
je hebt vaak ook een schermpje daar
of in de auto
maar met moderne motoren heb je dat ook
alleen die van mij komt uit 2000 een2 20een0
dus ja het is nog een een analoge
dashboard zeg maar
Uhm maar ik heb een aparte houder voor mijn telefoon
dus daar kan ik de route opzetten
zodat ja het
dan is het wat makkelijker
om te navigeren op die manier
ah dus je hebt wel een navigatiesysteem op je motor
dan eigenlijk
vanuit je telefoon
ja precies ja
ja hmm maar ik denk dat de ouderwetse manier
de borden volgend
eigenlijk wel goed werkt
dan kan je toch altijd vertrouwen op
op de juiste op het juiste punt te komen
en ben je in een keer goed gereden of moet
ben je verkeerd gereden
nou ik moet zeggen
ik denk dat veel Nederlanders dit
hebben zodra je België inrijdt dan begint de drama
Uhm de wegen zijn niet het het beste
zijn niet de beste
zeker vergeleken met de Nederlandse wegen
dus je merkt gelijk het verschil als je de grens
overrijdt
Uhm maar
ja ook qua borden vind ik België een beetje chaotisch
dus vaak heb je de de borden pas
op het laatste moment
dus als de afslag daar al is
daar is het bord ook
en soms is het een beetje onduidelijk
welke afslag je precies moet hebben
dus ik heb een paar keer op het laatste moment nog
een afslag moeten pakken
alleen ja ik ben de laatste tijd wel vaker
rond
hoe heet het
niet Brussel maar die andere stad daarboven
Antwerpen ja rond Antwerpen geweest

dus nu herken ik de afslagen wel richting Brussel en zo
dus ja het is ook gewoon
ja als je meerdere keren op een plek bent geweest
dan begin je het een beetje te herkennen
klopt en ik merk ook dat ik wel vrij
afhankelijk ben geworden van het navigatiesysteem
dat ik nu juist ook op bekende wegen altijd mijn
ja Google Maps gebruik
omdat ik dan weet of er file is of
of ik een andere route moet nemen
maar daardoor
kan ik niet eigenlijk rijden zonder navigatie soms
en dat is best wel een probleem
dus laatst had ik het idee om ook
een week lang overal naartoe te rijden
op gevoel en op vertrouwen
en dat ging supergoed en
ik denk dat ik dat wel nodig had
om beter en fijner in de auto te zitten
ja precies ja het is
het is denk ik wel goed om te kunnen rijden zonder
navigatiesysteem ook
alleen aan de andere kant ik vind het ook fijn
om om mijn navigatie altijd aan te hebben
ook al weet ik precies hoe ik moet rijden
want soms word je ook omgeleid
want het is een vaak ja vaak een directe
omleiding als er bijvoorbeeld een ongeluk is geweest
of er staat een hele Lange file ergens
ja vooral met
ja applicaties zoals waze heb je meer dat
de alternatieve routes worden gegeven
oh en dat kan soms veel tijd schelen ook dus ja
en wat denk je van de app Flitsmeister
gebruik je die ook
ja ik ik rij niet zonder Flitsmeister nee
dan dat scheelt ook misschien in
tijd en route hoe je ergens komt

en krijg je dan een geluidsmelding op de motor
of hoe moet ik dat voorstellen
in dat geval
nee ja dat dat zal je niet niet horen vanwege de wind
nee dus dat hoor je niet
nee dus ik zie het alleen op het scherm
dus ja ik moet zeggen
de routes die ik vaak rij
ik weet precies waar de trajectcontrollers zijn
dus daarvoor hoeft het niet per se
maar ja ik kijk af en toe op op mijn telefoonscherm
ik probeer ook niet te lang of te vaak
te kijken want
ja je moet natuurlijk wel een beetje opletten
ja extra veel ook op de motor
Uhm zeker maar ja
het is te makkelijk om te versnellen met de motor ook
dus dat je even een stukje wat harder gaat en dan weer
Uhm ja afremt dat
ja gaat gewoon wat sneller
en wat makkelijker dan met een auto
dus het gevaar dat er precies
ergens een snelheidscontrole is
waar jij iemand aan het inhalen bent
en 20km/h te hard gaat
de die kans is groot ja
oh ja ja voor de mensen die het niet weten
de Flitsmeister is een app die
laat zien waar de flitsers staan
om die eigenlijk meten
of je je aan het snelheidslimiet houdt
en ja in Nederland zijn er best veel verschillende
snelheidslimieten of regels daarvoor volgens mij
op de snelweg
is het meestal 100
maar
tussen bepaalde tijden kun je ook 120 rijden geloof ik
Uhm is het nu zo dat er ook alweer een nieuwe weg
is met 130
sinds dit nieuwe kabinet
zijn er een paar
routes of zo waar je ook weer 130 mag rijden
niet niet meer overdag dus
oké dat was eerder zo
dat je nou de 120 routes werden 130 routes
en daarnaast heb je nog
de wegen waar je 100
maximaal mag alleen nu is het
ja ja eigenlijk sinds het vorige kabinet al
dat het teruggedraaid is naar 100
tussen 6 uur s ochtends en 7 uur s
avonds dus ja eigenlijk
praktisch de hele dag zeg maar
maar vooral ook gericht op wanneer
gaan mensen naar hun werk toe
en wanneer rijden ze terug
dus dan is het limit 100 overal
ja en na 7 uur dan is het 130 op
veel wegen ja ja en dan
richting de stad of rondom de steden
is er vaak een trajectcontrole van 80km/h
en ik kwam er laatst pas voor het eerst achter wat een
trajectcontrole
is of hoe ze dat meten
want ik dacht dat er gewoon heel veel flitspalen
waren die meten of je 80 kilometer
rijdt maar volgens mij klopt dat niet
ja volgens mij meten ze wat anders klopt dat
ja de de tijd dat het kost
tussen een paal en de volgende paal
waar je kenteken wordt geregistreerd
maar er zijn meerdere palen
omdat sommige mensen een afslag nemen
al eerder of ik weet niet gaan tanken of zoiets
dus dat daar wordt rekening mee gehouden
maar ja dus we kijken eigenlijk naar het gemiddelde
van die hele
afstand of alleen dan waar jij hebt gereden
ah ja precies waar je hebt gereden
ja ja dat wist ik echt niet tot aan 2 weken terug
ja dus je kan in principe heel langzaam rijden
en dan aan het einde heel veel
ja gas geven ja precies
maar dat is dus 80km zone
en gelukkig tijdens de ochtendspits
in ieder geval
hier in Rotterdam mag je toch 100 rijden daar
en tijdens de middagspits trouwens ook dus alleen
buiten de spitsuren moet je daar 80 rijden
en dat voelt altijd wel heel traag
als je al een tijdje op de snelweg hebt gezeten
maar in de ja binnen de bebouwde kom of in het centrum
mag je natuurlijk nog langzamer rijden
hoe is het nu in Amsterdam
ja het is sinds
Uhm
ik denk een jaar nu ongeveer dus sinds begin 2024 ergens
volgens mij is het nu overal 30km/h
bijna overal 30km/h binnen de stad
binnen de bebouwde kom
en
dat betekent
dus je hebt de snelwegen en je hebt de bebouwde
bebouwde kom dus buiten de
buiten de steden zeg maar en de
bebouwde kom is binnen
in de steden en de dorpen
en daar is het nu bijna overal 30
dus dat is niet snel
en wat je vaak ook ziet
dus dat binnen de steden dat er elektrische fietsen
sneller gaan dan
nou auto's of ik met mijn motor
dus ja dus de
ja de voertuigen waar je een rijbewijs voor nodig hebt
die gaan langzamer dan de fietsen of de
ja de fat bikes de elektrische fietsen
die waar je geen rijbewijs voor nodig hebt
dat is wel een beetje bizar
ja precies
ander punt ook maar daar komen we zo op over de
de fat bikes eerste
ja hoe zit het in Rotterdam heb je daar ook 30km/h als
limit of mag je nog 50
Uhm ja ik zie het ook weer als een soort cirkel
om het centrum heen
maar echt in het centrum
centrum mag je inderdaad 30km per uur

daar buiten is het wel nog 50
maar misschien passen ze dat ook aan
want er gebeuren nog steeds heel veel ongelukken
voornamelijk dan met
voetgangers die voorbij wandelen
waar ze recht op hebben op het zebrapad bijvoorbeeld
maar ook wanneer ze oversteken
en hetzelfde geldt voor fietsers
er gebeuren nog heel veel ongelukken met fietsers
en dat is niet altijd de schuld van de autobestuurder
maar meestal wel

en het risico is veel groter natuurlijk als je op
fiets zit omdat je niet bent beschermd door
nou de auto
als je in de auto zit
ja ja ik had dat idee ook toen ik
over de snelweg reed gisteren
je bent toch wat minder
nou veel minder beschermd als
motorrijder dan als autobestuurder
maar ja je je ziet ook
meer ja een beetje het gevoel wat je hebt op een snelweg
hoe je eigenlijk een constante stroming hebt
van oneindig veel auto's

op de meeste wegen overal ter wereld
dat ik me bedenk ook van ja hoe
hoe gestoord het eigenlijk is hoeveel er wordt gereden
op elke op elk moment wereldwijd
maar ja ja hoe het ook heel belangrijk is voor
de mensen om te functioneren eigenlijk omdat
ja mensen werken op verschillende plekken
mensen bezoeken familie
mensen
Uhm gaan gewoon een dagje weg ergens naartoe bijvoorbeeld
ja
en wat is voor jou het grootste voordeel van het
rijden op een motor
ten opzichte van een auto
ja nou het grootste voordeel is denk ik
gister had ik ook een aantal
plekken waar er veel file stond
en nou met een motor kan je volledig
als je volledig links rijdt mag je tussen de 2
zeg maar laatste rijen
mag je file rijden zoals dat heet
dan kan je dus tussen de auto's doorrijden
en ja je mag niet heel hard
het is ook niet heel handig om heel hard te gaan want
sommige auto's wisselen van baan
ze kijken niet goed
en nou als jij daar hard rijdt dan
kan dat voor een ongeluk zorgen
dus maar maar je rijdt in ieder geval wel en ik denk
ja ik rij niet zo vaak auto
maar stilstaan in de file is een van de
meest verschrikkelijke dingen in het leven
denk ik
dus het is dan
dan ben je extra blij dat je op een
motor zit en niet vast
in de file in de auto
ja ja ja
een van de andere verschrikkelijke dingen van de auto
voor mij dat was toen ik nog in Schiedam woonde
en elke dag als ik thuis kwam
van werk of van een activiteit
kostte het wel minimaal
20 minuten om een parkeerplek te vinden voor mijn
in mijn buurt
dus tegenwoordig
hebben
heel veel bewoners van de huizen in de buurt bij
ja in dat in die buurt
ongeveer gemiddeld 2 auto's maar vaak ook 3
heel veel werkbussen in de straat
dus er was gewoon nooit een parkeerplek te vinden
en iedereen staat dubbel geparkeerd overal
dus het is ook
ga je dan zelf ook doen of ga je gewoon netjes
netjes ergens Anders parkeren
dat deed ik natuurlijk wel
maar dan moest ik alsnog 30 minuten naar huis lopen
had ik net zo goed met het openbaar vervoer kunnen gaan
ja dus dat
was ook een verandering voor mij
waardoor ik veel vaker met de metro ben gegaan
of met de step in de metro
zodat ik de auto niet hoefde te gebruiken
ja nee precies
ja dat is een
Groot voordeel ook van het hebben van een motor is dat je
de motor overal op de stoep
kan parkeren
dus het is veel makkelijker om van deur tot deur
letterlijk van deur tot deur te gaan
als je
ja bij iemand op bezoek gaat dus bijvoorbeeld ook
naar Brussel
Uhm ik had 2 opties
nou ja er zijn meerdere opties
maar ik zat te denken aan of ik neem de trein
je hebt nu het
Intercity nog iets niet
Intercity direct nee het heeft een andere naam
voor de trein direct naar Brussel
vanuit Nederland zeg maar naar België
maar ja dus dat is redelijk snel
het is 2 en 1/2 uur met de trein
alleen als je dan in Brussel bent
dan moet je nog de metro
nemen of de tram
en nog een stuk lopen
en ook voor mij om bij het treinstation
te komen kost wat tijd
dus in totaal is het met de motor een stuk makkelijker
want je gaat letterlijk van deur tot deur
en als je in de stad bent het is veel makkelijker om
ook al is het heel druk dat je toch
overal de de motor kan parkeren
dus dat is ook zeker een voordeel
ja
ja ja en zitten er vaak mensen achterop bij jou
nee bijna nooit
en ja zeker voor heel lang
ja zeker voor lange stukken
is het ook gewoon niet zo comfortabel
want je vangt veel wind
dus het is echt
wel intensief
en ja dus ja ik denk
voor kleine stukjes kan het heel handig zijn
ik gebruik het in de stad ook bijna als een soort scooter
en buiten de stad ja voor voor kleine stukjes
bijvoorbeeld in de zomer naar Haarlem naar het strand
of bij Scheveningen of zo
ja daar is het gewoon super druk
en daar staat het altijd vast
dus dan is het met de met de motor extra makkelijk om
toch even naar het strand te gaan
dus ja dat dat zijn een paar voordelen
maar zelf gebruik ik het openbaar vervoer
ook veel dus ik gebruik de trein ook ook veel
wat vind jij van
de treinen in Nederland van de NS
ja als je flexibel bent
dat je niet
in de spits hoeft te rijden
oh als je als je flexibel ja gewoon opnieuw dat stukje
ja
ja van de treinen als
moet je wel flexibel zijn om
de route goed te kunnen plannen
denk ik als je ergens moet zijn
om op een stipte tijd
stip moet je extra vroeg vertrekken denk ik
en het is niet zo fijn om in de spits te reizen
maar over het algemeen
als je een directe verbinding hebt
is de trein best wel fijn
je kan
lekker zitten je kan gewoon een beetje werken misschien
of een boek lezen en
Uhm maar vooral vaak als je buiten de spits rijdt
en het is ook vaak dat er vertragingen zijn
of een hele uitval van
3 uur dat er geen treinen rijden
Uhm vaak wordt dat beïnvloed door het weer
Uhm of misschien andere dingen
als er iets kapot is een technische storing
dus je kan er nooit van uitgaan 100%
dat je op tijd kan komen als je
de laatste trein neemt die je kan halen
maar in principe kan je op als je op tijd weggaat
is het een goede keuze om met de trein te gaan denk ik
vooral dus als je een als er een directe verbinding is
voor jou ja zeker
ja ook om van stad naar stad te gaan
zodat je niet hoeft te
parkeren met de auto en dat soort dingen
is het gewoon wat comfortabeler
alleen het is vaak tijdens de spitsuren
of in het weekend gewoon heel druk
en dat is een beetje
kan een beetje stressvol zijn of
dat je ja niet echt ontspannen kan zitten
niet echt iets Anders kan doen
dat je niet kan werken of een boekje lezen of zo
maar ja als dat wel kan
als er ruimte is en het is niet zo druk
dan vind ik het eigenlijk de
de meest comfortabele manier om te reizen
comfortabeler dan de auto
het vliegtuig
De bus de motor ja zeker
maar als ik inderdaad ja naar Amsterdam wil dan
is er een hele directe verbinding vanaf Rotterdam
maar als ik in Amsterdam ergens Wil zijn
en dat niet bij het centrum of bij een station ligt
dan moet je vaak
nog 1/2 uur reizen met een andere vervoersmiddel
de bus en de tram
in de benen wagen
even wandelen
en dat denk ik dan toch van
ah dan komt er zoveel extra rijstijd bij
dat ik dan toch misschien beter de auto kan pakken
ja terwijl het juist heel fijn is om gewoon
een directe ja verbinding te kunnen hebben
maar ja ik weet het niet
soms
is het prijs ook een stuk duurder
om met de trein te reizen
dan met de auto
en dat verbaast me
altijd heel erg
zelfs met de parkeerkosten erbij
ben je minder soms kwijt
met de auto dan met de trein
en dat wordt alleen maar erger elk jaar volgens mij
wordt het steeds duurder
Uhm want volgens mij is een ticket naar Amsterdam nu
€17 met een normale trein
dus een retour zou dan 34 zijn
en dan heb je de Intercity direct
die vrij snel is nog een stuk sneller
Uhm dus dan ben je €40 kwijt daar daaraan
ja maar goed ja
ik weet niet waarom het zo duur is
het volgens mij is het
gedeeltelijk wel betaald door de overheid
dat het nog wat goedkoper kan zijn
maar zelfs dan is het nog duur
de ticketprijzen
ja precies en vroeger was dat niet zo
we kunnen niet meer voorstellen dat de prijzen
van vroeger
dat we dat betaalde voor het openbaar vervoer
ja precies ja het is het is heel duur
een tijdje geleden was ik in Engeland
en ja dat
het openbaar vervoer daar is denk ik nog duurder
Uhm oh ja ja dat betaal je ook heel veel geld
ja een voordeel denk ik aan
nou ja wat wordt gezien als
een voordeel in Nederland is dat het altijd op tijd is
dat is de laatste tijd ook wel iets minder natuurlijk
Uhm er zijn vaker vertragingen en annuleringen en
ja spoorveranderingen etcetera
maar over het algemeen als je kijkt naar de wereld dan
ja is het natuurlijk nou heel erg gestructureerd en
je kan met het openbaar vervoer
eigenlijk overal in Nederland wel komen
en dan denk je ook aan bussen
aan trams aan metro's
dus het is het land is heel erg verbonden op die manier
ja en ja het langste
wat je in de trein
kan zitten is misschien 2 en 1/2 uur van ja
van Maastricht naar Groningen zeg maar
waarschijnlijk het langste stuk
maar ja
langer dan dat zit je niet echt in het openbaar vervoer
ook dus ja het is
het is wel duur als je het dagelijks
moet gebruiken natuurlijk
alleen denk ik dat
voor veel mensen wordt het bijvoorbeeld ook vergoed
door hun werkgever
en ja natuurlijk studenten in Nederland hebben ook
of gratis week ov of gratis weekend ov dus
dat zijn wel dingen die het iets makkelijker maken
maar ja ook gewoon voor mensen die dagelijks de metro
moeten pakken of de tram
dat telt ook op dat wordt wordt snel duur
en ja gelukkig heb je die abonnementen ook inderdaad
dat je met korting kan reizen op
als je altijd hetzelfde traject reist
of dat je buiten de spits reist
krijg je 40% korting
ja dus er zijn altijd wel manieren
om het goedkoper te maken als je
de app gebruikt bijvoorbeeld
ja ja precies
ja ik ben benieuwd of
mensen die dit luisteren of zien ook vaker met de
trein gaan en wat zij vinden van
NS van het openbaar vervoer in Nederland
wij hebben natuurlijk onze mening daarover
maar het is ook wel interessant om te zien
hoe mensen vanuit
andere landen
kijken naar het
openbaar vervoer in Nederland
