it is a folder from Statistics Netherlands

and it was an envelope with a folder in it from Statistics Netherlands
what does Statistics Netherlands mean
I think
central office
for statistics

yes Dutch agency where they do a lot of research
and when I opened the folder
I can read why Statistics Netherlands asks me
regularly
we ask residents
of the Netherlands to participate in one of our studies
it's important
to know what their opinion is and what they are experiencing
only if many people participate do we get a good picture
and that is why it is important that you participate
because your answer counts
so yeah
I was asked to participate in a questionnaire
and I haven't done it yet because
it's been this week
but I would like to
talk a little more about numbers and facts today
because that's the theme of this week
so I actually started looking for some
investigations by Statistics Netherlands
of yes what are they researching
but actually they do an investigation into everything
you can really find everything
about the soil of the Netherlands in special
regions or places
to doing online shopping
where what products do we buy

found a survey about the distance
that we cycle on average
as Dutch
so I wonder if
we are at the average
or that we deviate from that

ik werd gevraagd om mee te doen met een vragenlijst
en ik heb het nog niet gedaan want
het is was deze week
maar ik wil wel graag
vandaag wat meer praten over cijfers en feiten
want dat is het thema van deze week
dus ik ben eigenlijk op zoek gegaan naar wat
onderzoeken van het CBS
van ja waar doen zij nou onderzoek naar
maar eigenlijk doen ze een overal onderzoek naar
je kan echt van alles vinden
over de de bodem van Nederland in speciale
regio's of plekken
tot aan het doen van online winkelen
waar wat voor producten kopen we
en vandaag heb ik
een onderzoekje gevonden over het de afstand
die wij gemiddeld fietsen
als Nederlanders
dus ik ben benieuwd of
wij bij het gemiddelde liggen
of dat we daarvan afwijken
dus ik ga jou een paar vragen stellen
om te zien of je een beetje kan inschatten
wat de cijfers zijn
over dit onderzoek van dit onderzoek
en de cijfers komen uit 2022
en heb jij een idee hoeveel kilometer
wij gemiddeld fietsen per week
of wij Nederlanders
ja precies dat dat zal verschillen per leeftijdsgroep
denk ik maar ja dit is natuurlijk
een van de belangrijkste onderzoeken in Nederland
denk ik met het
meeste budget ervoor
hoeveel fietsen we
maar ook misschien het makkelijkste onderzoek
om te doen omdat
nou de meeste mensen fietsen
maar hoeveel ja dat is een goede vraag
het zal een beetje tussen de
misschien 10km en
30km liggen in de week
gok ik dus laten we zeggen 20
hmm
ja ze hebben het per leeftijdscategorie ingedeeld
dus het is inderdaad
het gemiddelde ligt bij de 20 en de hoogste
groep welke denk je dat de hoogste
het hoogste aantal kilometers fietst
welke leeftijd zal dat ongeveer zijn
nou als je op straat kijkt kan je goed zien
wie er meer fietsen dan dan anderen
en vaak zijn het ja
jongere mensen
tieners meer denk ik dan dan kinderen of volwassenen
zeker omdat zij
de meeste daarvan gaan dagelijks
naar school en terug
dus dat zijn al redelijk wat kilometers
dus ik denk ja de tiener
tiener leeftijdsgroep zal het meeste fietsen
dus ja inderdaad dat klopt
De Groep 12-18 jaar
fietst gemiddeld 32,9km
hmm de scholieren
inderdaad de tieners
in Nederland
en wie zit daaronder denk je
welke leeftijdsgroep zit daaronder
de
wie na deze groep het meeste fietst
precies met 23,4km
ja ik denk dat de leeftijdsgroep net na de tieners
niet daaronder zit
omdat dat zijn
luie studenten en en deze
gaan misschien vaker met het openbaar vervoer
of die hebben net een auto
en rijden meer met de auto
dus misschien rond de
tussen de 30 en de 40 en mensen met kleine kinderen
nee dat klopt niet
nee het is een andere leeftijdsgroep
die we kunnen specificeren
precies na een bepaalde leeftijd
waarin er ook een verandering in je leven is
nog een verandering
oh
dus de de 65
plussers misschien in ja zeker
ja de gepensioneerde
de 65 tot 75 jaar
ja en dat
maar er is niet gespecificeerd wat voor soort
fiets dat is dus het zou zijn
de elektrische fiets waarschijnlijk maar
dat hoort er ook bij
die fietsen dus gemiddeld ook wel vrij veel
en de minste
het minste de minste afstand die wordt afgelegd
wat denk je ja dat zijn toch baby's denk ik
oké die zijn niet meegeteld het gaat vanaf 6 jaar ja

ja moeilijk misschien
ja ook die leeftijdsgroep je zat eigenlijk
je zat al heel warm toen je net een opmerking maakte
over de luie
de leeftijdsgroep de luie leeftijdsgroep
want dat zijn degene 25-35 jaar
waar wij ook in zitten dus
we zullen zien of dat zo is maar die zijn
gemiddeld hebben zij een afstand van 14,0km
klopt dat voor jou
ja ja
ik denk er zit ook een groot verschil
in die leeftijds categorie
waarbij je bij de
middelbare scholieren
ja iedereen of bijna iedereen
zal een bepaalde hoeveelheid per week fietsen
en er zijn een paar uitschieters die
veel meer fietsen natuurlijk
maar ik denk in de categorie tussen de 25 en 35
zijn er heel veel mensen die niet fietsen
en heel veel mensen die heel veel fietsen
maar dat balanceert elkaar wat lager
Uhm
ik weet niet precies het verschilt een beetje per week
voor mij maar ik fiets elke dag
een paar kilometer denk
ik dus ja ik denk wel dat ik boven de
30km per week fiets
ja precies
dan kan ik het gemiddelde zeker omlaag halen
want ik heb namelijk helemaal geen fiets
dus
met 0km en 30 komen we ongeveer op de 14,0 misschien
ja precies
ik heb wel een step overigens
ik hou van wandelen en van steppen
en dan kan ik makkelijker in het vervoer meenemen
maar mijn fiets heb ik
onlangs aan mijn zusje gegeven
omdat die van haar gestolen is
hmm dat is ook
een feitje
of waar we veel cijfers over kunnen verzamelen denk ik
in Nederland ja
ja misschien
kunnen mensen in de comments
achterlaten of hun fiets al eens is gestolen
om een onderzoekje te doen onder going Dutch studenten
want vaak waar mensen die net in Nederland zijn
gebeurt dit gemiddeld een keer per
een jaar of een keer per het eerste jaar dat ze hier zijn
precies dus zet je fiets goed op slot is een goeie tip
ja we kunnen ons eigen CBS starten denk ik
met going Dutch misschien

en er zijn ook nog wat data
toen verzameld over de fietsmotiven
waarom fietsen ze
je hebt al net iets verteld
over dat mensen veel naar werk of school gaan
met fietsen
maar dat is niet het
hoofdmotief waarom mensen de fiets gebruiken
heb jij een idee
wat is de meest
gebruikte manier
of de meest
frequente manier waarop mensen een fiets gebruiken
dus het is niet om naar school te gaan
nee iets anders
die staat op plekken 3 ja ja op plek een en 2
nog wat andere
ja nou de de langste afstanden zullen zijn dagjes weg
uitjes
ergens naartoe gaan
voor een middag
maar misschien
uiteindelijk het meeste is om boodschappen te doen
om te winkelen
ja zoiets ja
zoals je zegt inderdaad de uitjes
fietsen om te fietsen is het hoogst omdat je dan
vaak verder weggaat
en daarna krijg je de meer reguliere dingen dus sporten
hobby's uitgaan
en daarna komt dan winkelen en boodschappen doen
inderdaad ja
ja en verder staat er nog onderwijs
cursus of kinderopvang, visite
overige reismotiven
ja en als laatste zakelijk en beroepsmatig
dus meer werk werkbezoeken
en misschien willen men niet bezweet aankomen bij een
presentatie of zo
dat is het laagste
ja en hoeveel
procent van de totale bevolking denk je dat
niet fietst waar jij ook
waar jij ook onder valt nu
ja dus dan krijg je inderdaad de
de baby's de kinderen er ook bij
en dan ook de oudere die niet in dit onderzoek meedoen
dus dat zal
ja ik heb echt geen idee eigenlijk

er zijn hoeveel hoeveel inwoners zijn er nu in
in Nederland in totaal ja
vorig jaar voor het eerst 18 miljoen

en als ik in andere delen van Nederland ben
bijvoorbeeld in De Veluwe
of in Limburg
of in Friesland

en ik kom daarna terug in Amsterdam dan denk ik pwoa
een drukke stad is Amsterdam
maar als je uit Londen komt en dan terug gaat
naar Amsterdam
dan denk je pwat een dorp is Amsterdam
zeker wauw ja ja alles is relatief natuurlijk
ja
maar maar in het dagelijks leven
je voelt niet dat je continu
in de drukte bent eigenlijk denk ik
ja wel een beetje
maar het ligt een beetje aan de regio en wijk ook hier
alleen ja objectief gezien is Nederland
een van de dichtstbevolkte landen ter wereld
en de Randstad is een van de dichtstbevolkte gebieden
ter wereld
dus ja het is zeker druk
maar ja ik denk er zijn ook veel parken er is veel
er zijn wat natuurgebieden
weilanden
en misschien ook
omdat het zo plat is in Nederland
geeft het meer een gevoel van ruimte ook
dus dat dat helpt misschien een beetje met de drukte
maar ja over het algemeen de de Randstad is een
populaire plek
veel mensen verhuizen naar de Randstad
of komen er vandaan
dus ja het is zeker druk
ja want in Amsterdam wonen ook
het grootste aantal Nederlanders
heb je een idee hoeveel inwoners er wonen

ik heb in ieder geval heb je het opgezocht nee nee nee

is gebouwd en veel

maakt het misschien
soms het gevoel dat het dicht bevolkt is
maar ik denk tegelijkertijd met het water en de open
lucht inderdaad wat je ziet
je kan ver vooruit kijken
voelt het voor mij niet echt heel dichtbevolkt
nee dus dat is heel fijn ja en ook door de
de Maas natuurlijk de rivier
het het voelt wat
wat breder en ja
ja de grootste haven van Nederland natuurlijk
en ja ik kom uit Schiedam
dat is heel dichtbij dat is naast Rotterdam
dit jaar bestaat de stad 750 jaar net als Amsterdam
en het is waar de boten ook langs gaan
om in de Rotterdamse haven te komen
en dit feitje
ik ben er niet trots op
maar Schiedam is de meest vervuilde stad van Nederland
jeej oh
maar we hebben heel veel
heel veel geschiedenis van de jenever
en het werd ook ooit zwart Nazareth genoemd
dus misschien nu in deze periode is het ook weer
geldig met deze vervuiling
ja de lucht is vervuild
de levers van mensen zijn
vervuild door alle jenever
nou ja
precies
en heb je een idee welke gemeente nog meer in deze
top 10 van de grootste gemeente van Nederland staan
ja de de top 4 is voor de meeste mensen makkelijk
denk ik dat is voor de hand liggend
dus op 3 is Den Haag met
ik denk meer dan 600.000 meer dan 6t
misschien 650.000 ongeveer

daar zat hier iets 100 eraf eigenlijk 568 maar
inderdaad wel richting de 600
ja en Utrecht daarna op plek 4
met misschien
350.000 mensen

en dan hebben we de de die grootste
Randstad steden gehad
dus ja waar denk je dat volgende steden liggen
in welke provincie
ja dus de provincie met de meeste inwoners
is waarschijnlijk
Zuid Holland met Rotterdam met Den Haag daarna

misschien Noord Holland zijn door Amsterdam
maar waarschijnlijk is het Noord Brabant
omdat daar ook een aantal grote steden zijn
en ik verwacht dat de grootste stad daarna
Eindhoven is
ja inderdaad Eindhoven staat op die plek daarna

ja en dan de volgende gemeente
ja het is ook
een gemeente met dezelfde naam als de provincie
ja dan gaan we van het zuiden helemaal naar het noorden
net zoals Utrecht stad heb je Utrecht provincie

dus dat is die stad is op plek wat is het 6

plek 7 misschien weer naar het zuiden

helemaal aan het zuiden heb je Maastricht
maar dat is niet een hele grote stad volgens mij

en dan kan het of Den Bosch of Tilburg
of er is er nog 1
Breda ja je hebt hem al

Tilburg is de de volgende
ja zeker Tilburg staat op plek 7
en plek 8
is een
een Almere Almere
ja Almere
en waar ligt Almere
ja Almere ligt in de buurt van Amsterdam
dus misschien zoals ja
bijvoorbeeld Zoetermeer een beetje een woonstad is
voor mensen die ook in Den Haag werken
is al meer een beetje hetzelfde voor mensen die ook in
in Amsterdam werken
dus het is heel erg aan het groeien volgens mij
qua inwoners en het het ligt in Flevoland
hmm ja en heel veel mensen uit Amsterdam
zijn ook in een bepaalde periode verhuisd naar Almere
volgens mij
ja met massaal van het centrum naar die stad
en dat is natuurlijk omdat het een vrij jonge stad is ja
wanneer
is de provincie plevoland eigenlijk gemaakt of gebouwd
ja precies nou
je hebt de de gezegd
God heeft de wereld
gecreëerd en Nederlanders hebben Nederland gecreëerd
nou dat is niet voor
voor alle plekken
alle provincies zo maar voor Flevoland is dat zeker
Flevoland is gemaakt in
de jaren 50 volgens mij
een deel van Flevoland
en het volgende deel in de jaren 60 volgens mij zoiets
dat kan ook zijn dat het iets eerder is maar
ongeveer rond die periode
dus ja Almere is een jonge stad ook
en volgens mij is Flevoland officieel een
nieuwe provincie sinds de jaren 80 begin jaren 80
en hoe hebben ze dat gemaakt
hebben ze allemaal zand of aarde in de
in de zee geschept
ja polderen ook dus
dijken zijn gebouwd
en door middel van
water uitpompen via nou de bekende molens
van Nederland
ze zijn stukken land
terug gewonnen
terug gewonnen van de zee
maar ja voordat je dat
voordat we Nederlanders dat konden doen
moest eerst de
de zuidzee die je vroeger had
getransformeerd worden in de het IJsselmeer
en dat is pas sinds
ja de jaren 20 jaren 30 zo
dus dat komt ook door
de de Afsluitdijk die
in het noorden
te vinden is en dat nu ook een verbinding geeft
tussen Noord Holland en Friesland
en daardoor is het ook mogelijk geweest om
het land terug te winnen van de zee of van het meer
in in Flevoland
en ja het idee was om dat met meerdere gebieden te doen
dus een groter oppervlakte
van het meer
maar uiteindelijk was dat niet haalbaar
door bepaalde redenen die ik nu niet weet
maar ze zijn uiteindelijk met het laatste plan gekomen
dus een stukje in Noord Holland is ook terug gewonnen
Uhm
wieringer Werf
in De Buurt van wieringer Werf in bij hoorn
een beetje daarboven is een stuk land erbij
en ook de hele provincie Flevoland
dus ja wat ook interessant is sommige
er waren een aantal eilanden daar in dat gebied
bijvoorbeeld Urk
en dat is nu geen eiland meer want het is nu
onderdeel van de provincie dus ja
ja het is ook nog steeds hele mooie natuur
of in ieder geval veel natuur daar
dus
het is zeker wel het moeite
waard om ook daar naartoe te gaan
een keer denk ik ja precies ja zeker
ja
en
over het algemeen in in Nederland zijn denk ik
nou verschillende soorten
natuurgebieden en interessante plekken om te zien
een beetje ja niet niet heel veel diversiteit denk ik
maar ja het is vooral interessant om te zien
hoe Nederland is gecreëerd ook dus dat
heb je op de Afsluitdijk
dat heb je in Flevoland maar dat heb je ook in Zeeland
dus daar heb je de Delta werken
ook zeer interessant om te zien
ja het Waterland
wat moeten we toch zonder al die dijken precies
ja
nog even terugkomend
op het onderwerp waar we het eerder over hadden
over het het fietsen
ik weet niet of je dit net al had gevraagd
maar of mensen
kunnen laten weten hoeveel uur zij fietsen in de week
en of hoeveel kilometer zij fietsen in de week
misschien een betere vraag dus

dan kunnen we een klein klein onderzoekje doen zelf
