een dag dat je vaak de markt hebt
maar ook vaak op zaterdag en soms op zondag
het is het thema van deze week
vers van de markt
ga jij ga jij vaak naar de markt toe
hmm niet vaak genoeg
ik denk er niet vaak aan om naar de markt te gaan
en dat is vooral omdat ik mijn boodschappen
niet echt plan
maar ik wil dat wel doen
ik ik vind het altijd heel leuk
om op de markt te zijn en alle verse producten te zien
en ook is de markt helemaal niet ver van mij vandaan
dus ik zou dat vaker moeten doen
ja ja en jij ja ik
ik zeg dat heel vaak tegen mezelf
dat ik vaker naar de markt moet
omdat ja het is sowieso goedkoper
allereerst misschien wel het belangrijkste
het is
wat menselijker wat socialer

soms heb je versere producten
of je hebt lekkere snacks die je kan kopen ook daar

maar ja in de realiteit de de supermarkt is altijd
simpeler sneller
makkelijker dichterbij

en het is ik weet niet vaak ga ik voor een
kort kleine boodschap naar de supermarkt
dus het is niet voor de hele week of zo maar ik ga
meerdere keren
per week om een paar dingen te halen

dan ga ik eerder naar de markt om
wat ja meerdere producten te halen

op welke dagen is de markt bij jou

waar je bent in Amsterdam natuurlijk
maar bij mij in de buurt zat eerst een markt
alleen toen ik hier net naartoe verhuisde
was de markt uh
weggegaan dus gestopt
dus ik weet niet meer precies welke dag het was
ik denk zaterdag
dat is wel een een gebruikelijke
marktdag denk ik
alleen nu is 'ie helaas niet meer hier
dus dat is misschien ook een reden dat ik
minder vaak dingen van de markt koop

bij ons is die op dinsdag en inderdaad op zaterdag ook
en het zou goed zijn voor mij om op zaterdag
bijvoorbeeld
daar naartoe te gaan en lekkere producten te kopen
sommige producten kan ik dan invriezen uh
en sommige producten
kan ik gebruiken om meteen mee te gaan koken
want wat ik wel soms ervaar is dat wanneer ik veel
ga kopen op de markt
dan kom ik thuis met tassen vol fruit
en groenten en alle lekkere
producten die ik heb gevonden
maar wij zijn met zijn tweeën thuis
ik maak niet alles op
in de tijd dat de producten houdbaar zijn
maar een goede tip die ik laatst kreeg
is gewoon alles invriezen
meteen en dan later gebruiken
dus dat is wel
een
als ik naar de markt ga
dat ik daar aan moet denken
dat ik het ook kan invriezen
ja je hoeft niet gelijk alles te gebruiken
je kan het ook voor voor later gebruiken
ja ja of
of diverse producten invriezen of een uh
een hele grote maaltijd ervan maken of een gerecht
dat je ik weet niet heb jij een grote pan ook thuis

toevallig heb ik een nieuwe pan
gekocht die vrij groot is waar ik meer in kan maken
inderdaad ja
ja ik ben mijn hele grote pan kwijt
ik weet niet waar waar die is
maar ik had

ik met de verhuizing een keer
ik weet niet waar hij ligt ergens misschien uh
ja bij mijn moeder in de garage of zo of whatever

maar hij is wel perfect voor de kookworkshop

en ja wat ik vroeger deed dan ging
ging ik naar de markt
heel veel spullen kopen voor
bijvoorbeeld een
chili con carne of zo
en dan een hele pan vol maken
en nou ja ook met andere mensen eten natuurlijk
maar ook heel veel bakjes invriezen voor
ja voor later
dat als je geen zin hebt om te koken
dan heb je altijd een
bakje in de vriezer om uh
in de magnetron
te doen en lekker makkelijk te kunnen eten
dus ja ja precies
dat is sowieso een goed plan
wat ik al zei aan het begin
ik moet meer plannen met boodschappen en maaltijden
en meestal zijn er periodes waarin ik dat wel doe
en dat ik dat dan even een maand vol Hou en daarna
gaat het weer op een andere manier verder
en dat is wel afhankelijk ook van
het seizoen je bent wat spontaner in de lente
in de zomer en
dan heb ik minder
planning of plannen rondom het eten
ja en op hetzelfde moment
denk ik ook dat ik in de Winter
minder snel naar de markt ga
want dan regent het
het is koud en
het is wat lastiger om
dan lekker boodschappen te doen op de markt
zeker ja je hebt ja
geen zin om daarheen
te fietsen en met tassen alles terug te brengen
als het hard waait
het regent dat uh
is wat minder leuk
maar als het zonnetje schijnt het is mooi weer
ja dan iedereen is ook vrolijk op de markt
dan meestal de
de hoe noem je dat marklui
de mensen die die werken op de markt
zijn vaak ook wat wat vrolijker ja
maar het is natuurlijk ja het scheelt heel veel in geld
vaak met producten die je op de markt koopt
en in de supermarkt
je hoort ook vaak nu dat mensen in Nederland
zelfs naar Duitsland gaan of naar België
om daar bij de supermarkt boodschappen te doen
als jij bij de grens zou wonen zou jij dat ook doen
ik weet niet ik ben een beetje te lui
misschien daarvoor
maar als het echt voor ja
grotere boodschappen is en
dat je meer spullen tegelijkertijd
koopt dan ja als je dichtbij woont
waarom niet ja
ja mensen doen het voor veel dingen nu
voor boodschappen
voor tanken uh
maar ook voor sigaretten
die zijn ook een stuk duurder
hier dan in Duitsland bijvoorbeeld
ja en wel is het vaak zo dat het om de a merken gaat
dat de prijsverschillen
tussen Nederland en andere landen
met de a merken zoals Coca Cola
vooral verschillen
maar voor de b merken of de andere producten
dat je daarvoor gewoon naar je eigen supermarkt
kunt gaan en
dezelfde prijs betaald
dus ja het is gewoon goed uitzoeken en ook uh
in Nederland hebben we een cultuur met heel veel
advertenties en weekacties
en als je die beetje volgt
dan kan de prijs van de supermarkt op de bonus
best wel goed uitpakken
voor als je boodschappen gaat doen denk ik
ja hoe noem je dat de huismerken zijn ook uh
maar ik vind ook dat tegenwoordig
zijn de huismerken ook steeds duurder
en soms komen de prijzen van de huismerken
heel dichtbij de de prijzen van de a merken
en dan zie je niet zo uh
Groot verschil
en is het alleen
een beetje een normale
prijs als het in de aanbieding is en de standaardprijs
is eigenlijk ja
veel hoger dan ook vroeger
ja
en ben jij iemand die alleen maar a merken koopt
ja nee zeker niet
nee nee
ik probeer vooral
weinig dingen te kopen die uh
ja waar waar veel conserveermiddelen in zitten
of veel zout of veel suiker of
eigenlijk ja hoe minder
verpakte dingen hoe beter vaak
dus ja daarvoor is de markt natuurlijk ook beter omdat
ja er zijn veel meer verse producten
ja dus hoe verder
hoe beter zeker
ja precies ja precies
maar ja ook in de
supermarkt in Nederland
ja ik weet niet het is functioneel je hebt ja
van verschillende producten van verschillende landen
maar ik word niet warm of koud
van de meeste dingen die je kan kopen in de supermarkt
het is oké
maar niks is echt lekker
en ja als je naar de markt gaat of naar een
ik zeg maar wat een Surinaamse supermarkt
of een Italiaanse supermarkt
of een Spaanse supermarkt of een Turkse supermarkt
daar heb je ook
wat specifieke ingrediënten of of gerechten
die ja veel smaakvoller zijn veel lekkerder zijn
en vaak ook goedkoper
ja het voelt meer als een markt als ik daar loop en
boodschappen doe ja ja
alleen ja toch ja

het is voor mij als ik op vakantie ben geweest
of als ik op vakantie ga bedoel ik
dan is voor mij een uitje naar de supermarkt
altijd ook iets heel leuks
en ik probeer altijd alle producten te bekijken
hetzelfde geld natuurlijk voor de markt
een wat vaak ook toeristische marktjes zijn
maar ook de pro de verse markt
maar toch als ik dan in Nederland kom
ben ik ook wel blij met het aanbod aan variatie
wat er in Nederland beschikbaar is
en dan vooral wat je net zegt
de internationale producten
die we gebruiken in onze keukens
in verschillende keukens
maar ja
wat je over de het
de versheid daarvan zegt is ook wel zo
dat is ook te betwijfelen
ja precies
maar wat je zegt in Nederland kan je bijna alles vinden
ja of soms moet je het bestellen
maar ja ik wilde laatst
Mexicaanse gerechten
maken met hele specifieke ingrediënten
en nou ik vond ook
een supermarkt in
Amsterdam waar ik alles kon kopen met een schap vol
met hele specifieke
lokale Mexicaanse
ingrediënten
ja en ja in de supermarkt heb je dit ook
maar het is een beetje
voor Nederlandse Mexicaanse ingrediënten zeg maar
maar hetzelfde voor Indiaanse of voor Indonesische
dus je hebt een soort Nederlandse versie in de supermarkt
maar je kan ook makkelijk de
originele versie vinden in een
een andere kleinere supermarkt ergens
ja in een toko misschien precies dat

ja over markt in het buitenland gesproken
heb jij een een
favoriete markt ooit bezocht in het buitenland
ergens eentje die uh
eruit springt voor jou
hmm de de markt die voor mij
of in het algemeen vind ik avondmarkten
of ja de night markets
het leukst ook voor de sfeer
de mensen de drukte
op dat moment vind ik echt een een uitje waard
en meestal koop ik dan eigenlijk niks
ik ga niet met een doel er naartoe om iets te kopen
maar wel om rond te te kijken en
ja ergens tegenaan te lopen wat misschien
leuk zou zijn om te kopen
en de markt die dan het meest tot nu toe
bij is gebleven is die van Bangkok
in Thailand dat is een echt een
ja een gekke huis eigenlijk maar wel
ik vond het een hele leuke ervaring om daar te zijn
ja ja precies
en misschien ook wel in hoi An in Vietnam
ja dat was wat Klein
ja wat kleiner of wat kleinschaliger
maar toch heel schattig
en leuk om daar te lopen
ja ja we hadden toen toen vierden we Sinterklaas
en toen hadden we afgesproken dat we een half uur, 30 minuten
kregen om voor €5 of voor €10
cadeautjes te kopen voor het dobbelspel
en toen gingen we als een gek op die markt rondrennen om
de leukste cadeautjes te kopen
dus dat was een leuke ervaring voor mij op de markt

mijn mijn favoriete markt
is misschien de Haagse markt
ja nou ik ik moet zeggen
echt mijn favoriete markten zijn vaak in
Spanje vooral vanwege de
de verse fruit
het verse fruit
groente
vis ook ja ik
ik heb een tijdje in in Malaga gewoond en in Valencia
kort
en daar ging ik vaak naar de markt om
verse vis en verse groente en fruit te te kopen
om daar ook iets mee te koken zeg maar
maar een markt waar je direct iets kan eten
100% in in Azië
in
Indonesië in Thailand inderdaad in Maleisië ook heb je
nou dat zijn de beste plekken om direct
superlekkere dingen te eten
denk ik

maar de Haagse markt in
in Den Haag is ook leuk het is een ervaring denk ik
het is de grootste
buitenmarkt van Europa ook
oh dat wist ik niet ja ja
en het is heel druk heel chaotisch
ben je daar wel eens geweest of nee nee
dat is op zaterdag dan ook of meerdere dagen
oké ja alleen de zondag niet
volgens mij en maandag en dinsdag niet zoiets
ik weet niet precies
ja oké
maar ja het is een uh
plek waar je ook heel veel
goedkopere groente en fruit
en dat soort dingen kan kopen
en er zijn heel veel
kraampjes van andere landen ook en
ook veel Turkse kraampjes
maar ja vaak ook iets lekkerder dan
in de supermarktjes dus wat verder
ja ja
en veel kleding ook
veel kleding en andere spullen dus eigenlijk alles
kan je daar halen
ja ja

vraag nog ik denk voor veel mensen
voor veel internationale mensen
kan de markt een beetje intimiderend zijn
om naartoe te gaan want ja het gaat snel
je als je iets moet bestellen
de persoon de verkoper heeft niet veel tijd voor jou
dus doe je het in het Nederlands
doe je het toch in het Engels
wat denk jij dat
dat het een goede plek is om je Nederlands te oefenen
of niet echt
als je naar een
markt gaat in een dorp misschien of in een kleinere stad
denk ik dat er best wel een grote kans is dat je
Nederlands kan praten
als je de tijd ervoor neemt
maar in de grotere steden zal het
sowieso heel druk zijn
en is er wat meer
ja kun je wat minder snel de tijd nemen om dus
een gesprek met iemand aan te gaan
tegelijkertijd zijn er zoveel culturen op de markt
waar je misschien dus ook
landgenoten van jou kan tegenkomen dus of
of dat helpt voor je Nederlandse taal
weet ik niet maar
het is zeker wel een plek waar je
waar je met taal bezig kan zijn
want je kan ook naar alle producten kijken en jezelf
testen kan ik deze woorden
hoe zeg je dit hoe zeg je dat
en zo hebben wij ook met de Going Dutch excursions
veel activiteiten gepland op de markt
bijvoorbeeld de excursion die we deden in Rotterdam
dat was niet in de de versmarkt
de buitenmarkt maar in de Markthal
en daar waren verschillende opdrachten toen
die de de excursie
ja de bezoekers moesten doen om
ja producten te vinden en
dingen te vragen
dus dat is wel uh
een leuke manier om Nederlands te oefenen denk ik
ja hoewel in de markt
al praten ze ook veel Engels
omdat het heel toeristische markt is natuurlijk
precies ja
en inderdaad wat op op wat meer toeristische plekken
waar veel internationale mensen komen ook
bijvoorbeeld in Delft we hadden een excursie ook in Delft
ook tijdens de markt met ook opdrachten op de markt
ja daar zijn heel
daar heb je de universiteit ook met veel
internationale mensen die daar wonen
dus de mensen die daar werken zijn ook
gewend om om direct Engels te praten eigenlijk
dus wat je zegt het is een goed punt
ik denk mensen kunnen als een soort uitdaging
een soort challenge voor zichzelf
naar een kleinere stad in Nederland gaan voor voor een dagje
en tijdens een markt ook en daar de tijd nemen
vragen om producten of ze mogen proberen
of dat soort dingen
ja dus ik denk
dat moeten mensen misschien een beetje forceren om dat
ja te doen en wat denk je van de kaasmarkt
of een kaasmarkt ben je daar wel eens geweest
ja ik ben ik ben nooit bij de zeg maar traditionele
kaasmarkt geweest
je hebt deze op verschillende plekken
bijvoorbeeld Gouda of Alkmaar
en ik wil graag een excursie plannen tijdens
deze dag
alleen ik zag dat voor Alkmaar is het op vrijdag
tijdens lunchtijd dus om rond 12 uur
dus ja het is niet heel realistisch voor mensen
die moeten werken helaas
dus maar voor mensen zelf
ze kunnen altijd
kijken wat de tijden zijn per kaasestad
dus ik denk Alkmaar Gouda zijn de echte kaassteden
om te kijken wanneer ze langs kunnen komen
maar ik heb het nooit gezien en jij
nee nee ik ook niet
dus ik
wacht op de dag dat we met going Dutch kunnen gaan
precies dan kunnen we een markt
aflevering opnemen op de markt
ja laten we dat doen
